Nordby
Nordby is located 2-3 km northwest, and the beautiful village has previously been named Denmark's best-preserved. Nordby is a charming and cozy village with a bell tower and a village pond, as well as old, fine half-timbered houses. According to an old tradition, "Summer in the village" is celebrated on the first Sunday after Pentecost, and it is a major attraction with a parade, entertainment, and music.

In Nordby, there is a centrally located playground with a pirate ship and a petanque court, and there are plenty of opportunities for coffee, pizza, sandwiches, ice cream in the town, as well as a variety of Samsø specialties in the store "The Taste of the Island". At Nordby 13, you can also enjoy a delicious lunch or French-Danish inspired dinner.

A little west of the village lies the island's highest point, Ballebjerg, which offers a beautiful view of Aarhus, and to the north, one can find nothing less than the world's largest stationary labyrinth! A must-try for all families! There are tasks for all ages when navigating through it.

Farthest to the north, you will find Samsø's "branch" surrounded by beautiful hills. Here you can enjoy beautiful views and a rich animal and bird life.
